Wilbert Adermann
ALTAMONT - Wilbert P. "Feely" Adermann, 81, of Altamont died at 10:40 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 1985, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont, with burial in Highland Lawn Cemetery, Terre Haute, Ind. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Kull Funeral Home, Altamont. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Mr. Adermann was born Oct. 25, 1904, in Altamont, the son of Ferdinand and Mary (Heiden) Adermann. He married Dorothy Benson in 1930 in Terre Haute, Ind.
He was a retired state employee and worker of Borg-Warner. He was the Mound Township supervisor, secretary of the Effingham County Republican Central Committee and a Mound Township Precinct committeeman for 32 years. He was a member of the Effingham County Committee on Aging, and a member of the Altamont Lions Club, of which he was a past secretary. He had also been a zone chairman and deputy district governor for the Lions, and in 1964 received the Outstanding Achievement Award for Lions Service. He was the immediate past secretary of the Altamont Chamber of Commerce, and had been awarded the Citizen of the Year Award in 1978.
He was a member of Immanual Lutheran Church in Altamont and had been a member of the 1924 High School All-Star Team.
Surviving are his wife; sister, Alma Bridges of Phoenix, Ariz; nephews and nieces.
He was preceeded in death by four brothers and six sisters.
