Hackett REED CITY - Robert H. Hackett of LeRoy died Saturday, May 10, 2003 at his home. He was 79. He was born Feb. 10, 1924 in Detroit and was a resident of Dearborn Heights before moving to LeRoy in 1971. He served with the US Army during World War II in the European Theatre and was a member of VFW Reed City Post. Mr. Hackett was employed with Martin Electric and later for 13 years with Hanchett Manufacturing of Big Rapids, retiring in 1985. He married Sept. 28, 1946 to Maxine Yocum. Survivors include his wife, Maxine; sons, Richard (Carroll) of Rio de Janeiro, and Kevin of Wyandotte; daughter Carlene Prousch of LeRoy; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother. Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home in Reed City with Richard Hackett officiating. Burial will be in Rose Lake Township Cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Cadillac Home Hospice.
